Every company wants to build a solid, enthusiastic, and trusting team. But amidst the daily grind, we sometimes forget that teamwork isn’t just about reports or meetings—it’s also about shared moments, laughter, and experiences that bring us closer together.
That’s why this year, our HR team decided to organise a company outbound trip. Not just any gathering, but one that can boost morale, strengthen cross-departmental relationships, and allow everyone to recharge outside the office environment.
After much discussion and consideration, we finally chose The ANMON Resort Bintan—a decision that, honestly, became a turning point for our team bonding.
The Journey Begins: Convenient Yet Special
We started our trip from Singapore, taking a ferry to Bintan from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Just an hour across the sea, and we arrived at Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal. From there, it was a quick 10-minute bus ride to The ANMON Resort Bintan.
The moment we stepped off the bus, our first reaction was: wha, this place is different leh. ANMON isn’t your typical resort—it’s a glamping (glamorous camping) destination with desert-style tents, modern minimalist vibes, and calming earthy tones.
Despite the “tent” concept, the facilities were anything but basic. Each unit came with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom, and even a chill-out area. Most importantly, everyone felt at ease from the get-go—no complaints, just good vibes and growing excitement.
Day One: Bonding Through Fun and Games
The first morning began with a briefing from the outbound facilitator, fully arranged by the ANMON team. They don’t just provide the venue; they also offer comprehensive outbound packages, including facilitators, equipment, and custom games tailored to our company’s specific needs.
We started with some hilarious icebreakers. It didn’t matter if you were a manager or a new hire—everyone was in the same boat. Then came the team challenges: relay games, collaborative problem-solving, and even a “rescue mission” simulation that tested teamwork under pressure.
One game that stood out was The River Crossing. Each team had to cross a runway using only one log at a time. It wasn’t about who was the fastest—it was about communication, cooperation, and strategy. That’s when we truly realised how well we could work together when it counts.
Crystal Lagoon: Splashing Fun with a Purpose
One of ANMON’s best features is direct access to Crystal Lagoon—Southeast Asia’s largest saltwater lagoon. It’s the ideal spot for both serious team-building and pure fun.
After lunch, we continued with the “Rafting Challenge”—teams had to build and paddle their rubber rafts across the lagoon. The laughter, friendly competition, and teamwork made it one of the day’s highlights. Others tried paddleboarding or just relaxed in the crystal-clear water.
The best part? ANMON’s teambuilding partners handled everything—life jackets, trained guides, and full coordination. We had fun and peace of mind.
Evening: BBQ, Reflections, and Heartfelt Moments
As the sun set, the mood shifted to something more cosy and heartfelt. We had a BBQ under the stars, surrounded by fairy lights and live acoustic music, which we hired. ANMON knows how to set the mood for bonding.
After dinner, we had a reflection session led by HR and management. It was surprisingly emotional. People opened up, shared what they were grateful for, what they hoped to improve, and even some personal milestones. A few tears were shed—it was that kind of night.
Later, some of us headed to TIPI Bar for mocktails and card games, where we shared stories and had a good laugh about the day’s adventures.
Day Two: Chill Before We Go
The next morning was all about relaxing. Some joined the morning Zumba session to refresh body and mind, while others pampered themselves at the spa.
Personally, the spa was the icing on the cake—enjoying a professional massage, the soothing scent of essential oils, and the sounds of nature all around. It felt like the perfect way to say “thank you” to ourselves after all the hard work and activities.
ANMON: More Than Just a Venue
After two days and one night at The ANMON Resort Bintan, we returned to Singapore with one shared feeling—this wasn’t just a trip. It was an experience that brought us closer together, changed how we viewed each other, and reminded us of what it means to be part of a team.
ANMON offers more than just a venue—they deliver a well-thought-out, safe, and engaging experience. From glamping comforts to professional outbound activities and warm, helpful staff, everything felt just right.
Is ANMON suitable for large corporations? However, it’s also ideal for smaller teams, startups, schools, or community groups seeking to foster stronger bonds.
Deepening Connections That Go Beyond the Office
At work, we often only know the colleague seated next to us. But during this outbound, we discovered so many hidden sides—who’s the joker, the problem solver, the motivator. We laughed, struggled, supported, and succeeded together.
The ANMON Resort Bintan provided us with the space and environment to build these connections, not just in the meeting room, but through meaningful shared experiences.
So if your team’s looking for a getaway that’s convenient, unique, and impactful, don’t think twice. Make ANMON your next destination. Because here, teamwork isn’t just talked about—it’s lived.
